About District
Raigarh district is a district in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. Raigarh is the district headquarters. The total area of the district is 4059.90 square kilometers. This district was formed by combining the princely states of Raigarh, Shakti, Sarangarh, Udaipur, and Jashpur. Jashpur is now a separate district. Shakti is no longer part of Raigarh district. Sarangarh also became a separate district in 2021. Raigarh district is bordered by Surguja and Jashpur districts to the north, Sarangarh district to the south, the state of Odisha to the east, and Shakti and Korba districts to the west.
